Katamari Damacy REROLL

played on: nintendo switch 2

time taken 6 hours

The King of All Cosmos sends his son to roll up things on earth to create new stars after he accidentally destroys all of the original ones.

Pretty fun and a little tricky but cute and a bit silly. I enjoyed this game I like how silly the story is and the prince is cute. The controls were a little hard to get used to but that is probably on purpose to make it more challenging.

Yakuza 0 director's cut

played on: nintendo switch 2

time taken: 58 hours

Kiryu and Majima are both pushed into a conflict surrounding a small but very high value peice of land, the "empty lot". Kiryu is framed for a murder in this lot and seeks to prove his innocence and get back into the Tojo clan. Majima is tasked with killing a girl who is being hunted by multiple groups within the yakuza in exchange for being let back into the Shimano family.

Just as good as the first time. this is probably my second favorite yakuza game ive played so far. This was my first time playing the directors cut version but it's not that different i feel like the added scenes were a little unnecessary but they didnt ruin the game at all. I got really into some of the minigames but only completed 60% of the whole game. It looked just as good on the switch as it did on the Xbox when i first played it

Catherine: Full Body

played on: nintendo switch 2

time taken: 11 hours

Vincent has been in a long term relationship with his girlfriend Katherine. One day he wakes up with another woman in his bed! His life starts falling apart. He's only able to find comfort with his time spent with Rin, a mysterious girl with amnesia. Even in his dreams he cannot escape his turmoil, every night he has nightmares where he is forced to climb for his life to escape manifestations of his worries.

this game was pretty fun. I really enjoyed the puzzles they were hard but still fun. This game was very cutscene heavy and the story kind of stressed me out but I liked seeing where the story would go based off of the choices i made. I think i would probably go back to this game at some point to try to get other endings

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse

played on: nintendo switch 2

time taken: 10 1/2 hours

10 years before the main events of the story 5 girls are kidnapped on the night of the Rogetsu Kagura, a ritual held on Rogetsu Isle for the living to communicate with the dead. After 2 of the girls that were kidnapped that night are found dead Misaki Aso, Madoka Tsukimori, Ruka Minazuki, and Choshiro Kirishima find themselves on the Island to discover the secrets of the past.

I really enjoyed this game! I think it's my favorite I've played so far. I felt like it focused a little more on the puzzle side of things than the combat which I prefer a little bit more. My favorite parts were Misaki's phases (phase: what they call chapters) there were some frustrating bits like parts where you have to fight many ghosts at once or not being able to find a key item but eventually I would figure it out sometimes with the help of a guide.

Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly remake

played on: nintendo switch 2

time taken: 11 hours

Twins Mio and Mayu are led away to a long forgotten village. After being separated Mio wanders the village to find her sister. In her search for Mayu, Mio discovers the secrets of the village and and the truth behind it's curse.

This was the scariest Fatal Frame game ive played so far. I really liked the ambiance of the village and the character designs. It kind of reminded me of silent hill f. I really enjoyed the story too, I could not put the game down. Some of the puzzles were a little tricky same with some of the heavy combat parts but I figured them out. Overall it was a pretty solid game
